I haven't posted for a few days and I wrote this up while killing time between classes. Might as well share and maybe in time it'll get posted to comms.
Kamio was a mess, Shinji observed as he finally gave up on rallying with his friend. Tachibana had told them to warm up so they'd gone off to hit two balls back and forth like they usually did away from where their teammates were playing. It was doubtful that Shinji himself would have to play as the other team's doubles pairings weren't even coming close to holding their own against Fudomine's. However, Shinji mused as he picked up one of the tennis balls they'd been using, if Kamio didn't get over whatever had him acting so erratically Shinji would have to play because there was no way Kamio would win in his current state. It just wasn't going to happen so Shinji would have to pick up the slack and win in singles two if this kept going.
Of course, Shinji's entire thought process had been mumbled out loud and Kamio had enough experience having to figure out what Shinji was saying to pick out the important parts or which words signaled an important topic. He blushed, embarrassed at the state he was in, as he handed Shinji the ball he'd picked up so his friend could store it in his bag. Shinji nudged him and they started back to the courts just in time to catch the end of doubles one. Fudomine was ahead 2-0 as Shinji had predicted. Now it was just a matter of Kamio or Shinji winning it for Fudomine. There was no way Tachibana would have to win it for them.
Kamio grabbed his racket trying to reconnect with the rhythm he'd been missing all day. He glanced over at Shinji, still mumbling, and smiled a little. "You won't be playing, Shinji," he stated. Shinji just kept mumbling as Kamio settled into the pattern of his friend's words to start off his game.

I need to learn not to tell
wiccanlilly or
andersenmom about my crack ideas. They make me follow through on it. This one is about the fukubuchous of Kanto and the support group they created in order to deal with their teammates. I stole the table and prompts from
1fandom, but I don't know if I'll be posting there. Enjoy!
