OMG! It's an update! I realize I haven't updated this since July and I deeply apologize but I just got the inspiration for this chapter today. I warn you, this jumps from the trip to Germany to the Senbatsu selection camp so it is a bit of a time jump, but it was necessary.

Chapter OneChapter TwoChapter ThreeChapter FourChapter FiveChapter SixChapter SevenChapter EightChapter NineChapter TenOishi walked through the hallways in the dormitory where the various players were being housed during the Senbatsu camp. He was feeling restless after so many nights of dreaming scenes he couldn't identify. Oishi had talked to his parents, asked about the dream, but they had just laughed and told him it was nothing more than a dream. Somehow, he couldn't believe them and for the first time in memory he thought his parents were lying to him about the past. It was disturbing and Oishi was left with nothing but a recurring dream he couldn’t understand.
Oishi sighed as he headed up two flights of stairs to a floor where none of the tennis players were rooming. This floor apparently held several amenities for the regular students that lived in the dorms during the school year could use. He'd heard about a game room, kitchen and music room. Oishi didn't care which room he ended up in, but he didn't want to risk waking anyone else with his late night roaming. Instead of peaking into each room and finding one that had comfortable furniture where he could at least relax for a while he simply opened the door to one of the rooms and went in. He gasped softly when he saw the grand piano in the center of the room. It was clearly supposed to be the focal point of the room and it deserved to be. Oishi walked over to the piano and ran his fingers along the black body as he admired the shape.
He sat down on the bench and carefully lifted the lid that covered the keys before running his fingers over them. They had to be made of ivory. Oishi bit his lip as he pressed down on a few keys, surprised at the sound that came out of them. Cautiously he rested his fingers of the keys and pressed down on a few keys experimentally. He continued on, encouraged by the pleasing sound that resonated from the piano, and chose a new chord. Slowly he figured out how to play a simple song, a lullaby his mother sang to his sister when she was upset. Oishi bit his lip gently, confused at this knowledge that he seemed to possess. He was so wrapped up in his thoughts and confusion that he didn't hear the footsteps coming toward him.
"You're very talented," a soft voice stated. Oishi nearly fell off the bench when he was torn out of his thoughts by the voice. He looked up and blushed when he saw Atobe standing only a foot away from him.
"You were listening?" he asked quietly. He turned his attention back to the keys and picked out a couple notes to keep his fingers busy.
"Do you mind that I was? You play beautifully," Atobe complimented and Oishi had to look up.
"I…" he stopped and frowned a little. "I don't mind, but I doubt I'll be giving any repeat performances. I've never taken piano lessons before so it was probably just a fluke," he replied, feeling like he was babbling. "What are you doing here?" he asked.
Atobe leaned against the edge of the piano as he watched Oishi. "I couldn't sleep and when I came up here I heard someone playing so I checked it out."
Oishi blinked as he looked back down at the keys. "You're using 'I'," he said softly, afraid to break the silence as he trailed his fingers along the keys, feeling like he'd played this piano before. "You always use 'ore-sama', but now you're using 'I'," he added as if clarifying what he'd said before.
Atobe shrugged slightly. "It's late," he said as if that was enough of an explanation. "Why are you up here playing the piano?" he questioned, eyes staying on Oishi the entire time.
Oishi smiled and looked back down at the keys as he picked out a few chords that he knew would go well together. "I haven't been sleeping well. I've had this weird dream every night lately where I'm having a snowball fight with someone called Kei-chan, but I don't know why or what it means. My parents tell me I've never known anyone named Kei so I should just ignore it, but I don't think that's the case and why I'm telling all of this to you, I can't be sure." He looked up apologetically before turning his attention back to the keys.
"Hiro-chan," Atobe whispered and Oishi's head snapped up at the nickname he'd heard before only in his dream. No one called him 'Hiro.' Atobe's eyes widened a little and he straightened. "Good night, Oishi-kun," he said and made his exit, leaving Oishi to sit at the piano confused and developing a headache as he tried desperately to figure out what was going on. He frowned and looked at the piano one last time before abandoning it with the decision that unsettling dreams were better than unsettling pianos.

Keigo headed out of the dormitory quietly cursing himself. He couldn't believe how stupid he was being. How could he possibly slip up in front of Hiro-chan like that? Keigo knew that he wasn't remembered and was constantly being reminded of that fact, but he'd still gone and acted like they were still best friends. He should have just walked away as soon as he realized that it was Hiro-chan at the piano. Keigo walked out onto the tennis courts and sat down on the courts to try to sort out his thoughts.

6-year-old Keigo climbed onto the piano bench next to his best friend. "You'll play for me, won't you?" he asked with a huge smile. "You play great."
6-year-old Hiro-chan giggled softly, but nodded. "I'll always play for you, Kei-chan!" he replied happily. He started playing the song in front of him, a lullaby they both loved to pieces. Keigo smiled as he listened to the music even when Hiro-chan stumbled over a few notes because it was hard to make his fingers stretch to hit the chord properly.

Keigo sighed softly as he ran his fingers through his hair. He was completely exhausted and he had to wonder if he had nodded off or was just so out of it that he was daydreaming. Either way it was probably best to get back to bed and sleep off this pain that he could feel squeezing his heart. Keigo dragged himself to his feet and started back to the dormitory. He looked up at the windows and stopped when he saw movement in one of the windows. It wouldn't due to be caught out past lights out by one of the coaches, especially Sakaki, but he didn't see anything else in the window and continued to move back to his room. If his luck held out Oshitari wouldn't wake when he got back from his late night wanderings.
Keigo settled into his bed and stared at the ceiling for a while before giving up on staying awake. He knew there was a dream waiting for him when the only thing he could hear was the sound a lullaby being played on a grand piano.

8-year-old Hiro-chan ran through the foyer of the Atobe mansion after school and went straight for the piano. "I have to practice, Kei-chan! I haven't played at all this week!"
7-year-old Keigo laughed as he followed Hiro-chan through to the piano room. "It's only Tuesday, Hiro-chan!" he teased. "Your lesson's not 'til Friday!"
Hiro-chan sat down at the piano. "But I have to memorize the piece I've been working on! I can't do that if I don't practice!"
Keigo just laughed as he sat down next to Hiro-chan on the piano bench content to listen to him play.
